Cebu Pacific to add 12 aircraft in 2019

The Philippine low-cost carrier took delivery of its first A321neo earlier this month, after several rounds of delays. It had initially deferred deliveries of its 32 A321neos to the fourth quarter of 2018 due to delays with the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines. This was further pushed into 2019 as Airbus experienced production challenges due to customization complexity and a shift to higher levels of automation.

Airspace agreement set to open up more Tokyo Haneda slots

Japan’s deputy chief cabinet secretary Kotaro Nogami told reporters during a press conference that an “in-principle agreement was made” with the United States on 29 January that will allow civilian movements through airspace controlled by its Yokota air base.
