It was India's diplomacy which finally did a great job in the release of Wing Commander Abhinandan. Pakistan bent for the first time under immense pressure from the international community. This is the first time when Pakistan has announced to release an Indian soldier so soon. Earlier on several occasions Pakistan had inhumanly treated Indian soldiers captured. Pakistan had violated the Geneva Treaty every time.
